Rita Daniel - President
Rita is an economist who has worked in both the public and private sectors in economics and in marketing. She has served at management levels in both areas. After retiring, Rita joined MAS in 2003 and has been the head of the Marketing and Finance Committees, along with doing projects in fund raising and marketing. Rita has also served on other nonprofit boards and currently also volunteers at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Steve Gittins - Treasurer
Steve spent 30 years with Manulife Financial until his retirement in 1999 in various capacities in Information Technology, mostly in senior management. He joined MAS in 2002 and has been involved projects and in several internal MAS activities, including facilitation and project evaluation. Steve also volunteers for the Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services.

James Campbell - Secretary
Jim worked for the Bank of Montreal for 32 years in various branch operations and Information Technology management positions. Upon retirement, he launched a process audit and improvement consulting practice. He is an Elder at Glenview Presbyterian Church and very active in the life and work of the congregation. Jim joined MAS in early 2004 and enjoyed many projects with a variety of clients.

Andrew Bedeau
Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto, and a Financial Risk Management designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He has spent over 10 years working in buy-side firms in treasury and risk management capacities. He is currently employed by the Registered Education Savings Plan firm, C.S.T. Consultants Inc. as the Manager of Treasury and Cash Operations. Prior to this, Andrew served as a Risk Analyst at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. In addition to MAS, Andrew sits on the board of the Laidlaw Foundation, and is an active volunteer with the Children's Aid Society of Toronto.

Chris Govern
Chris was Vice President, Small Business at CIBC. She has a generalist business background. Chris has been a Volunteer Consultant with MAS since 2002, primarily in strategic planning and facilitation and has extensive experience with cross-organizational groups. She has been Co-Executive Director of MAS since 2008.

Elizabeth Greaves
Elizabeth has been on both the staff and the board of directors of a number of nonprofit organizations in Toronto during the past 35 years and is familiar with the range of challenges agencies face. She lives in Northumberland County and is active in the non-profit sector there, as well as in Toronto.

Howard Kaufman
Howard Kaufman has been a Counsel at Fasken Martineau, a 650+ lawyer firm with offices in Canada, London, Paris and Johannesburg, since 2001 after having retired as Vice-President, Legal & External Affairs and
Secretary of Xerox Canada Inc. Prior to Xerox, Howard had a corporate/commercial practice. He has lectured extensively and continues to do so on a variety of substantive legal matters, law department management, and ethics issues.

Jeanette MacDonald
Jeanette has a Bachelor of Nursing and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She retired from Toronto Public Health in 2008 after over 20 years of service. Most recently, she managed a team of professionals who provide health promotion services to young families in the community. In addition, she assumed responsibility for an area of professional program development, education and delivery within Toronto Public Health.

Fred Simons
After retirement from senior management in the financial services industry in 1995, Fred immediately became involved with MAS. His first assignment was to establish a Facilitation Practice and since then he has been continuously active as a Volunteer Consultant as well as filling other roles. Currently he is Practice Leader for the Planning Practice and the Facilitation Practice and is also serving as a Co Executive Director.
